Prevention and treatment of Aphids
Aphidius colemani is a highly effective parasitoid micro-wasp in combating various aphids, particularly common species on peach and melon plants. It parasitizes the aphid's body by inserting its eggs into it. The development of the larvae eventually causes the death of the host, and mature individuals emerge, ready to repeat the cycle.
This product is offered in the form of larvae vials. The full performance of Aphidius colemani is achieved in warm and humid environments. Therefore, it is particularly suitable for use in greenhouses and grow tents.

Questions
Can I use Aphidius colemani at home ?
We do not recommend introducing Aphidius colemani at home. They require high humidity levels and will be more effective in a greenhouse, a grow tent, or any other enclosed growing environment.
Can Aphidius colemani proliferate in my plants ?
Aphidius colemani require specific environmental conditions and a large quantity of prey to reproduce. These conditions are not typically met in an enclosed growing environment. Limited and beneficial reproduction may be possible in a greenhouse.
I don't see the Aphidius colemani I introduced, is this normal ?
While some adults may have already emerged at the time of introduction, the vial mainly contains dead aphids parasitized by Aphidius colemani larvae. It may take several days before adults emerge, and they may not necessarily be visible. However, you can confirm their presence by observing parasitized aphids, which will be killed, swollen, and turn golden in color.
Are there any risks associated with using Aphidius colemani?
Aphidius colemani pose no danger to humans or pets. These micro-wasps do not sting.
