Biological control

Nature is a balance of forces in perpetual motion. Each force is countered, every living being is both predator and prey. No one truly gains the upper hand. Well, normally... But when a species suddenly finds itself advantaged, it proliferates, it becomes invasive. The forces are unbalanced.

This phenomenon constantly occurs on a smaller scale in agricultural and horticultural domains. When an insect manages to attack plants in an artificial environment such as a field, a greenhouse, or even a house, there's usually nothing left to stop it. It quickly becomes problematic.

Biological control can restore balance without resorting to the use of chemicals. It involves preventing, controlling, or eradicating the harmful organism using, hold on to your seats, its natural predators!

Natural predators

Insects to treat insects. They're also called biological control agents or crop auxiliaries. They're mites, larvae, or even micro-wasps; they all have the particularity of targeting crop pests without side effects. There are many varieties, each adapted to specific situations.

The method is effective and has numerous advantages. Unlike chemical pesticides, it's a 100% natural solution, harmless to human and animal health. Natural predators are gentle on plants and suitable for the most delicate varieties. They don't create resistance and pose no threat to biodiversity; they contribute to it.

Moving forward

Biological control isn't new; some natural predators have been used in agriculture for centuries. However, these products have remained relatively unknown to the general public and difficult for individuals to access.

At a time when the world is exposed to the consequences of chemical pesticide use, when the average consumer is aware of the contents of their food, and when environmental regulations are evolving, a trend is emerging. Natural predators are positioned to make a lasting contribution to a healthier culture, both in the field and at home.
